Lochwood is one of Montana’s best traditional Bluegrass bands. Coming together in 2014, the goal of this band has always been playing the music the “right” way in the tradition of Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs and the Stanley Bros. Featuring 3-part harmonies, hard driving rhythms and exciting solos. The band members come from all over the country but the common theme is the rural Mountain values found in western Montana.

The Bridger Creek Boys, hosts of the festival, are steeped in bluegrass tradition and sprinkled with lots of newgrass improvisation. They’ve been pickin’ since 2005, and have logged over 1400 gigs all over this part of the country. As a four-piece, the Boys focus on explosive solos, tight harmonies, and harddriving bluegrass fun! With songs ranging from The Dead, The Band and The Beatles, to Doc Watson and the Carter Family, all flavors are served.

The Dirt Farmers are a foot-stomping string band, who call their musical style “paisley grass." They have gained a following for their fun-loving mix of old school country, bluegrass, blues and rock, with the occasional slip into hip-hop. The band members, as unique as their song list, serve it all up with a smile on mandolin, banjo, guitar, fiddle, dobro/pedal steel, and bass, with vocal harmonies.  The Dirt Farmers deliver innovative covers, as well as writing original tunes that invite you to be "Having a Good Time" and experience the flavor and fun of Montana life.
